Brag about yourself - what makes you great at what you do?
I am one of the only practicing pediatric occupational therapists in Bergen county with a doctorate in OT. I have been in clinical practice since 1976, teach a pediatric OT lab at the master's level at NYU (and taught Pediatric OT at Columbia University in the early 90"s), and have created and presented numerous workshops for parents and teachers.
In 1991 I created P.O.T.S., the first stand alone pediatric occupational therapy practice/sensory gym in Bergen County, to provide a warm, family centered state-of-the-art facility to enable therapists to treat the whole child, rather than focusing on the narrow scope of the Board of Ed or hospital-based practice. Over the years I have surrounded myself with colleagues who are creative, passionate about meeting the needs of our young patients and families, proactively partner with everyone on a child's "team" who is open to it, are constantly learning and expanding their knowledge-base, and maintain a standard of excellence, second to none. By maintaining a small practice, I have the flexibility to acquire any expertise and technology I, or my therapists, deem worthy, without going through hoops!
What types of business contacts are you looking to make?
