Brag about yourself - what makes you great at what you do?: Howard Nevins is the Associate Director of Business Development at Alliance Homecare, a fully licensed home care services agency (LHCSA) serving the New York metropolitan area. Howard leads the effort to build Alliance’s brand across Long Island and is continuously interacting with local business leaders within the legal, financial, accounting and insurance industries as well as key clinical members of hospitals, rehabs, nursing homes and other senior living providers.

Helping families find the right care for their loved ones has been a mission for Howard that started over a decade ago and has provided him with equal professional and personal success.

Prior to Alliance Homecare, Howard helped build Seniors for Living, an online portal allowing families to research and connect with senior housing options across the country. The company grew to be a top leader in the industry and was ultimately acquired by RealPage (NASDQ:RP).

Howard currently sits on the board of STEP Long Island is also a board member of ACIT Long Island. Additionally, Howard is a member of Long Island Capital Alliance, Nassau County Police Reserves and is an active member of several senior-focused organizations including, Orion Resource Group, GPNY and Senior Umbrella Network. Howard enjoys supporting the Long Island Chapter of the Binghamton University Alumni Association.

What types of business contacts are you looking to make?: I work with trusted advisers in the fields of law, wealth management, accounting, insurance and real estate - as centers of influence, their clients seek advise for a multitude of topics, including senior care options for themselves or their loved-ones.

Additionally, I work with professionals within the the clinical space, including physicians, administrators, social works from private practices, hospitals, rehabs, assisted living communities and independent living communities. When a patient is in immediate need of in-home care services.

When someone is looking to stay in their home to age in place and needs the assistance of a certified Home Health Aid or RN, Alliance Homecare can help.
