- Brag about yourself - what makes you great at what you do?
- I was the Director of the Kaplen Adult REach Center, a social adult day care program at the JCC in Tenafly for 17 years. Currently I am in private practice assisting families successfully manage the care of their loved one challenged with Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia. I meet with families at their residence to develop a comprehensive assessment to tailor strategies to meet their specific needs. Having worked in the field for over twenty years, I have an extensive network of referral sources. I also offer dementia care training to healthcare professionals throughout New Jersey, facilitate caregiver support groups in affiliation with the Alzheimer's Association and offer community presentations.
Most recently I created and organized Cresskill Alzheimer's Awareness Week. This involved over a dozen presentation offered by experts in the field of dementia. I was honored by Assemblywomen Valarie Huttle representing the assembly and senate of New Jersey for this event.

The week which was rich with educational forums successfully helped to lessen the sigma of having Alzheimer's, supported caregivers and educated the community to be more understanding and supportive to families challenged with this disease.

Hi Vivian;
I don't know if Debbie Berowitz mentioned to you that we just started construction on a facility for those with Alzheimer's and Dementia on Route 4 in River Edge. Perhaps there are some networking opportunities here.
